In 2005, EMAS Publishing was acquired from AEA Technology as a wholly-owned subsidiary by the UK Forum for Engineering Structural Integrity (FESI) to provide support in its educational and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes.
EMAS Publishing, established in 1979, has a core aim to provide a bespoke publishing facility in the area of engineering structural integrity and all its disciplines, including: fatigue, fracture, corrosion, material assessment, creep, crack growth, structural health monitoring and inspection techniques. There are over 70 titles in our catalogue which include several commissioned books. We are actively seeking new titles either as monographs, text books or commissioned topics.
On 1 January 2018, EMAS Publishing was renamed FESI Publishing.
FESI’s mission statement is:
“to facilitate the dissemination of current developments in best practice for engineering structural integrity between professional specialists in industry and business in partnership with the academic community. It achieves this by providing seminars, workshops and conferences, and through publishing specialist technical publications.”
FESI is the national body for engineering structural integrity that promotes the critical role ESI plays through design, manufacture, and safe operation of structures, plant, machinery and components to decommissioning. FESI is the UK representative of European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS).
